Dear Parents of Alexandria Township School District Students,
The food service program offers lunch daily at each school. As participants in the National School Lunch Program, each lunch served must include five components: a protein source, bread, a vegetable, a fruit and eight ounces of milk. Choices of entrees are available each day, including both hot and cold selections. There are also vegetable choices, including fresh choices everyday and a variety of fruits and fruit juices to choose from.
Cost of a complete lunch is $2.75. The milk in your district is free from growth hormones and is offered in several different flavors. While at least five components are offered each day, your child may choose as little as three or as many as five of the foods offered to complete a meal. At all schools, a variety of a la carte items are also available for sale including soft pretzels, organic yogurt, juices, fresh baked cookies, chips and water. Milk can be purchased for $.50.
Students at both schools will only be allowed to accumulate a total of three charged meals.
At that point, until additional monies are placed on account, the student will be served a cheese sandwich for lunch. Any money not spent by the end of the school year will be available for your child’s use the following school year.We are proud of the quality Food Service Program we offer in the Alexandria Township Schools, and we do our best to keep our customers happy and well fed.
