War and Remembrance: Honoring Our Past II

On Thursday May 23rd, at 1:30 P.M., the full staff and student body of Alexandria Middle School will be taking part in a flag memorial ceremony featuring 6,000 flags honoring the 1.2 million US soldiers who have died in combat since our founding.
The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be placing the flags in the ground the week of May 20th during Social Studies classes. The project will culminate with the ceremony on May 23rd.

Visitors are welcome to tour the field after school hours and throughout Memorial Day weekend.
School Hours @ AMS - 8:30-3:40

Veterans and their families are invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony.

Parents are welcome to attend the ceremony at 1:30.
